NumberTheory is the company of Paul Hiemstra. Paul was born on the 18th of December 1982 in the Frisian city of Franker. After finishing his high school he moved to Utrecht in 2001 to start his study in Earth Sciences. Following the succesfull completion of his MSc, he continued with a PhD at the same department. Paul continued his academic career at the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Service (KNMI) as a post-doctoral researcher. In parallel to his academic endeavours, Paul runs a part-time consulting and training company specialized in applied statistics and R programming.
When not working, Paul likes to play with his two children, play with the guitar, play computer games, or read a good science fiction novel.
